What you should know about this number
An earlier pass ranked Rami Levy at position 4, because it was measured from a small branch with a thin catalogue. With a representative branch — 15,022 items — it ranks 2. Branch choice moved the chain 2 places, which is exactly why we say of every figure that it was measured at one branch.
How Rami Levy publishes its prices
Every retail chain in Israel is required to publish its shelf prices and promotions in public files. Here is what that looks like for Rami Levy.
Publishing platform
shared publishing platform (Cerberus / PublishedPrices)
A central platform many chains use to publish the price files the law requires of them.
- File access
- Public and free — each chain has a published username, with no registration and no special approval.
- Portal address
url.publishedprices.co.il- Chain id in the files
7290058140886The id appears in the name of every file the chain publishes, which is how we confirm a file really belongs to this chain.
Update cadence
One full snapshot per day, overnight, plus update files during the day that carry only what changed since the snapshot.
Legal basis
Israel's price transparency law requires retail chains to publish shelf prices and promotions in files open to the public. Everything here comes from those files, not from collecting prices in stores ourselves.
What these numbers do not say
A point-in-time benchmark is good evidence, not a promise. These four limits apply to every figure on this page.
Measured on one day
Every amount here was measured on 17/08/2026. Prices change daily, and nothing on this page is a live price.
One branch per chain
One representative branch was chosen per chain. Catalogue size and prices vary between branches of the same chain, sometimes by a lot — so the figure describes the branch we measured, not every branch.
One basket, 50 products
The basket is made of 50 products that were available at every chain measured, and it is not a typical household basket. A different basket can produce a different ranking.
Published price, not till price
These are the prices the chain published in the official files. Promotions, loyalty-club prices and till discounts are not included, so what you actually pay can be lower.
Your basket is not our basket
We measured one 50-product basket on one day. To find out where your own shop is cheapest, build your list and compare it.
